The Route of The Bryson Line

As many people know by now, I’m going to walk The Bryson Line out of Bill Bryson’s travel book The Road to Little Dribbling.

Now, this might come as shocker, but walking The Bryson Line from Bognor Regis to Cape Wrath cannot be done literally – one would be walking through houses and jump over fences and break through walls as he goes. Now, don’t get me wrong. It could be a lot of fun and adventurous – tiptoeing through living rooms while the residents are having sex on the couch, throwing stones through windows you find on your path – but it’s not for me. Sorry.

Instead, I’ve spent many days studying the map of the United Kingdom and searching the Internet to come up with a route that stays as close as possible to The Bryson Line. And while I’m still working on the exact combined mileage of the entire undertaking, I hereby present to you: The Route.
